As the first thematic deliverable of EU SI-DRIVE project, this report provides a multidisciplinary literature review of existing theoretical and conceptual strands on social innovation and its relationship to social change. Against the background of this review, multidisciplinary hypotheses, research foci and questions have been formulated. These in particular will be used to inform the upcoming methodological preparations of the project's empirical mapping of social innovation cases. [Adapted from the report's introduction].
