Alexandra Tsatsou (Msc Urban Management and Development, IHS Erasmus University Rotterdam; MSc Architectural Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece) an expert in Urban Strategic Planning and Climate Change at IHS, Erasmus University Rotterdam. She is involved in the educational activities of IHS with teaching and curriculum development for the master's course and short trainings. She has gained experience as an architect and urban designer of new towns and social housing, and got involved in land redevelopment and urban planning projects in the Netherlands, Sint Maarten and China.

Currently she researches climate change, urban risk and resilience, placemaking and public space, and develops tools, methods and frameworks for urban analyses and strategies. At IHS she has worked on projects on green infrastructure and land value capture, urban resilience, climate change adaptation, port cities, inclusive placemaking, social integration, building resilience with communities. Countries of work include Nepal, Colombia, Italy, South Africa, Greece, the Netherlands.

Alexandra explores data and information visualization, graphic design and communication as powerful tools that complement research, the understanding of concepts and dissemination of knowledge.
