TRANSIT Newsletter 4th edition

December 21 2016

As the holiday season is quickly approaching, we are also drawing the line to add up the milestones of this last half a year. TRANSIT researchers have devoted their time to a meta-analysis of 80 case studies spread accross 25 countries. This gargantuan effort populates a database of approximately 500 critical turning points, derived from these cases, as a means of better understanding how social innovations can become transformative. The database will be available at the beginning of 2017. At the same time, two more TRANSIT practice briefs are in the works and will be published in the first quarter of the year.

If you're wondering what events are in sight next year, our Resourcing and Monitoring workshop will take place between 16 and 17 of February, in Maastricht. Find out more about it here! Apart from this, a large part of 2017 will be dedicated to planning the TRANSIT final conference, which will take place between 12 and 15 September in Rotterdam.

In the meantime, the TRANSIT network has not laid still for a bit. Our Argentinian partners from Universidad Nacional de Quilmes have been busy developing a social learning tool for social innovation practitioners. Now available in Spanish, the tool takes a self-training approach, by providing participants access to a series of modules and materials. The English version will be available in the upcoming months.
