APENOC is a Producers' Association of the Northwest of Córdoba, which groups more than 1000 families of peasant farmers. The organization nucleated in 30 rural communities, covering great distances that reach 450 km. between them. The members are breeders of goats and cows, charcoal producers, artisans, many times they produce for the self consumption, milk, honey, vegetables. THe objectives of APENOC are: organizing the farmers to improve their quality of life; Fight to defend their rights of access to land, health, production, education; Produce more and better for the good of their communities; Generate better commercialization channels; training them to solve the community and regional problems.

    In 2004, the Cordoba legislature passed Law 9150 on normalization of tittle deeds. For the members of the APENOC this law is a key tool in the conflicts open by the tenure of the land in the northern Cordoba.

    Land occupation in "Paso Viejo"

    In 2006, APENOC was the protagonist of an unusual event in the history of the campesino movement in Argentina. They carried out a massive occupation of two rural estates in the place of Paso Viejo in the north of Cordoba.

    New political involvement of APENOC

    Since 2007, the local initiative became involved in political issues. Until that moment, they rejected the political alignment, but then APENOC started an approach to politics and opened new possibilities and new forms of partnership.

    The peasant walk

    In April 2010, APENOC participated together with other organizations of the province of the peasant walk. The activity lasted 6 days and culminated in the city of Cordoba to request an interview with the governor.
