Insights into social innovation and sustainable consumption

October 6 2017

We gladly announce the upcoming release of "Social Innovation and Sustainable Consumption: Research and Action for Societal Transformation" - a book that is part of the "Routledge-SCORAI Studies in Sustainable Consumption" series and came to be with the contributions of TRANSIT researchers Julia BackhausEdina Vadovics and Julia Wittmayer, together with Audley Genus and Sylvia Lorek.

Sustainable consumption is a topic that has been drawing more and more interest over the past decade, especially in the light of implementation challenges raised by recent international climate change agreements.

Besides in-depth discussions around the concepts of sustainable consumption, social innovation and societal transformation, this book provides detailed case studies of social innovation in energy, food, housing and policy and critical reflections on how social innovation contributes to societal transformation.
